Coeur  de la France - The Heart of France

Welcome to the site. To make your search easier we recommend you go to 'advanced search', at the bottom of this 'Home' page, select the area you are interested in, select 'for rent'  or 'for sale', enter your price range and click on search.

You will need to make a note of the properties you are interested in using the reference numbers in the brief descriptions which start with letters, e.g: Bii733 or CEB123000. You can then click on 'Contact us', type in the reference numbers and the information you require.

If you register with us we will automatically send you details of any new properties within your price range that are added to the site. To do this click on the 'sign up' button at the top of this page on the left.

We sell properties in 2 regions of France. The Allier 03 which is part of the Auvergne,  and the Hérault 34 which is part of the Languedoc-Roussillon. We also have a few properties in the Cher18 (Centre) and the Nievre 58 (Burgundy). You will find these with the Auvergne properties.

At the cheaper end of the market the properties in the Hérault consist mainly of terraced village houses with perhaps a small terrace, courtyard or balcony but rarely a garden.  This is because of the geography and history of the region which dictated that villages were built on the top of hills and were often fortified.  To get a decent size garden and a house outside a village you need to look at newer villas or have a budget of 4-500,000€.  Having said that, it is still possible to buy a well renovated village house for around 100,000€

The Allier is quite different. Even village and town houses normally have a decent size garden with a vegetable plot, and outside the villages  most houses were at one time subsistence farms with attached or separate barns and have between 1000m2 and an acre of land, sometimes more. We also have properties with substantial amounts of land, and outbuildings, suitable for keeping horses, etc., at prices few people can afford in the UK.
